Waltz Sequences

for Social Dancing

Focus: Useful sequences of (new) waltz figures for social dance floors

Level: Intermediate (Bronze)

Prerequisites:

• ≥ 1 Year Dancing Experience
• Interest in English Waltz
• Figures: Natural Turn, Reverse Turn, Closed Changes.
  Advantageous: Whisk, Chassé from PP

Contents: Useful and effective combinations of waltz figures for social dance floors,
including Natural Spin Turn, Closed Impetus, Outside Change and Basic Weave.

Quickstep Sequences

for Social Dancing

Focus: Useful sequences of quicksteps figures for social dance floors

Level: Intermediate (Bronze)

Prerequisites:

• ≥ 1 Year Dancing Experience
• Interest in Quickstep
• Figures: Quarter Turn to R, Progressive Chassé.
  Advantageous: Natural Spin Turn, Running Finish

Contents: Useful and effective combinations of quickstep figures for social dance floors,
including Natural Turn, Tipple Chassé to R and Back Lock.

Floorcraft 1

Dancing on Crowded Floors

Focus: Estimating the movement of other couples; planning one's own movement

Level: Intermediate (Bronze)

Prerequisites:

• ≥ 1 Year Dancing Experience
• Interest in ballroom dancing, especially English Waltz & Quickstep
  A certain level of confidence in English Waltz and Quickstep is desirable.

How can I estimate where other couples will move?
